Typhoon
uNo,we weren't hit by the supertyphoon.
We were hit 2 weeks earlier by an ordinary signal 3 typhoon that ruined most of the rice crop, deroofed a lot of buildings, destroyed our chicken farm and fruit trees, and flooded our pickup truck,(luckily our granddaughter and driver got out and took refuge on the roof of the gas station when the flood waters began to rise).
Here is a photo taken from our second floor, taken a few weeks before the storm:
and here is the photo of our garden taken the day after the typhoon
yes, the heavy wooden gate was blown out, and the street has a foot of water in it (this was at 10 am, presumably the water level was higher at midnight, when the eye of the typhoon went through).

update
the murderous ex mayor's daughter won the mayoral election.
And if I don't post photos, it's because my daughter in law borrowed my camera two years ago. Sigh.

Rice farming
my camera was borrowed and I haven't seen it in two years, so not much uploads.
These are photos of our farm fields. Usually we use a handplow and jeep thresher and pick up the rice with a heavy pickup truck, but a few of the fields are away from the roads so using a waterbuffalo is easier than getting a truck studk in the mud.
